Lycoming Engines is happy to announce the launch of the Lycoming Factory Loyalty Program for New, Rebuilt and Overhauled Engines. The Lycoming Factory Loyalty Program has been developed mainly for those customers that are unable to take advantage of the current “Rebuilt for the price of an Overhaul” program which requires the return of a factory new exchange core. Your customers that have a new exchange core may choose between either program.

Until further notice, Lycoming Engines will be offering additional discounts (provided in the table below) for Engines with the return of what Lycoming defines as a “Select Exchange Core” for all engine orders received on or after Tuesday March 9, 2010

A “Select Exchange Core” is defined as a Lycoming Factory New, Rebuilt or Overhaul engine that has never been overhauled, otherwise known in the industry as a “Factory Engine” core. The attached excel spreadsheet contains the select exchange core part numbers and the core values applicable for this program.

Select Exchange Engine Cores must also:
1. Have been placed in service on or after January 1, 1990.
2. Be returned with the complete engine logbook or if the customer prefers, a copy of the complete engine logbook and a completed Lycoming Factory Return Material Authorization (RMA) Worksheet (form number 2500). Total time since factory new, rebuilt or overhauled must be documented in the logbook.
3. Arrive at the Lycoming Factory in an as removed, fully assembled, operable and airworthy condition with the valid engine data plate.
4. Be the same model and configuration as the purchased replacement engine, including all items and accessories that were supplied with the purchased replacement engine.
5. Arrive at the Lycoming factory or arrive at one of the two applicable international exchange core consolidation points within 120 days of the invoice date of the purchased replacement engine.


Please utilize the table below (or the attached spreadsheet) to determine the applicable discount. The following scenario’s are examples of how a discount may be applied.

Example 1:
Customer A has an O-360-A4M engine (4 cyl Overhaul) that was last Overhauled at the Lycoming Factory. They are eligible for a discount of $600 on the purchase of either a New Service, Rebuilt or Overhaul Factory Engine.


Example 2:
Customer B has a Rebuilt IO-540-K1H5 (6 cyl Rebuilt). They are eligible for a discount of $1,200 on the purchase of either a New Service, Rebuilt or Overhaul Factory Engine.



Example 3:
Customer C has a TIO-540-AE2A (6 cyl turbo) engine that has reached its first TBO since new. They are eligible for a discount of $1,900 on their choice of a Lycoming Factory Engine (New Service, Rebuilt or Overhaul) or they can take advantage of the “Rebuilt at an Overhaul price” offer.
